Losing someone you love is never easy. When my husband and his brother lost their uncle, I knew that I had to step in to help with the funeral planning. Their uncle had raised them since they were toddlers, and he was the only father they ever knew. They were both devastated, so I told them I would handle the arrangements, knowing they both trusted my judgment. The service was beautiful, and they both received a lot of peace from it. About a month later, I asked them to look at some monuments in Morris County NJ.
I had made all the immediate arrangements such as the casket, the flowers, and the obituary. I knew that they were the ones who had to select the monument for his graveside though.
